a word from the mind athlete developer
Hello & Welcome.
I'm the developer of the Mind Athlete. The Mind Athlete is something very close to my heart. And I'm thrilled you've decided to join me and become a Mind Athlete.
Mental health is on everyone's mind these days. Did you know that 20 years ago the WHO (world health organization) predicted that neuropsychiatric issues would become the leading cause of disability worldwide?
I believe in providing patients with cutting-edge mental health services that are catered to suit their needs. More than ever we need support that involves a sympathetic approach, with no judgment, and clear guidance. The help that teaches us how to cope with the demands of everyday living. We know that having therapy can do this. However, for some, regular therapy sessions can be out of reach. Out of reach because of lack of time, distance, cost, or the belief that seeing someone means weakness.
A long time ago I made the conscious decision as a psychologist to become inter- and cross-disciplinary trained. Because I wanted to give people access to an inclusive service. I'm trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Health Psychology, and Sports & Exercise Psychology. I'm professionally trained in Hypnotherapy & Mind-Coaching. Along with, training in Nutrition and, Exercise and Fitness.
As a mom and grandmother, I know what it's like trying to squeeze all that has to be done into a hectic day. I seldom have time to myself.
I developed the Mind Athlete because I wanted to provide people with therapy that was convenient, easy to reach, and easy to do. Therapy that could immediately help someone change an issue without having to take time away from their already busy life. To put high-quality effective therapy right there at your fingertips.

Who am I
Psychologist & Founder of the Mind Athlete Program
I’ve been a practicing therapist for over 10 years, working with thousands of people from all over the world, with many different problems. And I’m personally and professionally passionate about helping people. I love helping people to improve their health and well-being.
If I had a magic wand I’d wave it and have every person walk into the world feeling confident, knowing, and believing in themselves, their value, and self-worth.
I’ve helped people all around the world deal with some of the most critical circumstances in their lives.
My passion for psychology dates back many years. I graduated with an Honors Degree in Psychology over 20 years ago and I've continued to learn as much as I can about the mind and body ever since.
I have been working as a Psychologist for many years, and I'm proud to share my qualifications with you. Below I've outlined some of the training I've completed.
MA. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
What I love about CBT is how it enables and empowers people. CBT helps people to understand that the way they think affects how they feel and behave. CBT teaches people the skills to develop healthier ways of thinking and behaving.
MSc. Health Psychology
Health is my passion. I gained First Class Honors in my Health Psychology Master's program. It helped me to expand and develop my psychological skills in ways I could not have imagined prior to completing the Degree.
Pg. Dip Sport & Exercise Psychology
This Master's program was really fun to do. I learned so much about how we can integrate athletic interventions into everyday life. How exercise affects not just physical health, but our mental fitness. How exercise can prevent and reverse many psychological issues.
Certificate - Nutrition
My pursuit to understand as much as I can about the mind & body led me to train in Nutrition. Understanding how health and well-being, especially our mental fitness, can be influenced by nutrition is simply put, astounding. The Mind Athlete programs include information on food and nutrition that can be used to improve our mental fitness.
Certificate - Exercise & Fitness
There is an abundance of information and research demonstrating the power of exercise and mental health. However, it is sadly, often, a very underutilized tool. I love to exercise, specifically, I love strength training. And I have included how exercise can help people can improve their mental fitness when they include exercise.
Pg. Dip Healthcare Management
Whilst this Master's program is not strictly based in psychology, it included facets of health management that are relevant to how we organise our lives. It also provided me with an indepth understanding of the interconnections between our social, financial, and organisational worlds.
RC Hyp, Dip Hyp - Professional Hypnotherapy and Mind Coaching
Putting another string to my bow I completed a professional qualification in Hypnotherapy and Mind Coaching. It has been clinically shown that hypnotherapy integrated with CBT can increase therapy effectiveness by up to 80%. This means I can provide the most uptodate psychotherapeutic instruction to people.
